Taiko Trainer is designed without advertising, cross-app tracking, or a developer-operated user account system.
Information stored on your device
Your kuchi-shōga words, sentences, songs, tags, settings, onboarding progress, and selected playlist identifiers are stored locally by the app. Playlist selections are restored across app launches, while playlist contents remain on your device. Taiko Trainer does not upload the contents of your personal practice library or playlists.
Music library access
With your permission, the app reads playlist information through Apple’s MediaPlayer framework so you can choose music for Exercise and Meditation. Playlist contents are used on the device and are not sent to Taiko Trainer’s service.
Purchases, subscriptions, and downloadable songs
Apple processes song purchases and Creator subscriptions through StoreKit. Subscription status is read on the device. When you request a purchased song, the service receives the product identifier and Apple-signed transaction information needed to verify access and deliver that content. Taiko Trainer does not store payment card details and does not maintain a purchase-profile database.
Network and service data
The catalog, artwork, support pages, and purchased song files are delivered by a hosting provider. As with ordinary web services, the provider may process connection information such as IP address, request time, and user agent for delivery, reliability, abuse prevention, and security. Taiko Trainer does not use this information for advertising or tracking.
Privacy-protected usage analytics
When usage analytics is enabled, Taiko Trainer uses TelemetryDeck to understand coarse product interactions such as starting a practice, completing a timed session, opening a builder, and viewing or completing a purchase. Tempo, duration, loop length, and composition size are grouped into ranges. The analytics may include a pseudonymous, privacy-protected device-derived installation identifier and technical information about the app and device, but it is not linked to your identity and is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Personal notation, word, sentence, and song names, tags, playlists, audio, microphone input, contact details, offer codes, and purchase receipts are never included. Share privacy-protected usage analytics is on by default and can be turned off from the Taiko Trainer page under Apps in iOS Settings at any time. Turning it off prevents new analytics events and clears pending cached events; an upload already in flight may finish.
Contact and retention
When you choose Send feedback from Home or Quickview, we receive your message and category, your reply email when provided, and app/iOS version details if enabled. A valid reply email is required for Collaboration requests and optional for other categories. The service verifies your Apple-signed app receipt and derives an app-scoped opaque identifier to prevent spam and duplicate submissions. The signed receipt is not stored with feedback. Your message, selected details, email when provided, identifier, and submission time are stored in our private support inbox; they are not used for analytics or advertising. Songs, playlists, microphone audio, and logs are not attached. Drafts stay in memory for the current app session. To request deletion, email support with the message details or the email you supplied.
If you email support, the message and address you provide are used to answer your request and retained only as reasonably needed for support and legal obligations. You can request deletion of a support conversation by replying to it.
Your choices
You can turn off usage analytics from the Taiko Trainer page under Apps in iOS Settings and revoke Media & Apple Music access in iOS Settings. You can remove locally stored library content inside the app or by deleting the app. Purchase history is managed by Apple under your Apple Account.
Children and changes
Taiko Trainer is not directed specifically to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Material changes to this policy will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
